Goa is home to everything refreshing, zesty, exotic and colourful. Referred to as the city of churches by many, the culture of Goa has the lingering effect of being a Portugal colony. Visibly different from the rest of the country, Goa has characteristic colourful houses, lush green fields and a soothing languidness in the atmosphere. The charming villages of Goa are ideal for a laidback morning walk or an aimless evening stroll. Under the star-laden skies, each festivity becomes more alive. Goa greens and wildlife makes for a nature lover's ideal hotspot. Goa is considered to be no less than Paradise. Where else will you find the perfect blend of exotic beaches, lip smacking cuisine, easy going people, rocking parties and ancient religious places!

Day 02: Goa-North Goa
Today we go on full day sightseeing:
Fort Aguada: This is the largest and the best-preserved Portuguese bastion in Goa and was built in 1609-12, to control the entry into the river Mandovi and to protect Old Goa from potential enemy attacks.
A freshwater spring – from where the fort derives it’s name – within the fort provided water supply to the ships that called there. Ringed by thick battlements, the heart of the fort was protected by two hundred cannons and a deep dry moat, which one still has to cross to get inside.

Panaji City (The Capital of Goa famous for local market, Gambling & Film Festival): Slung along the banks of the wide Mandovi River, Panaji (also still widely known by its former Portuguese name Panjim), Goa’s small and spritely state capital since 1843, boasts its own laid-back brand of originality. Purpose-built neat and tidy by its former Portuguese colonisers, the city’s inhabitants have adapted its European-flavoured legacy to suit their affluent and easygoing needs. Nowhere here will you find the rush and hustle of most Indian cities; the Panaji pace is steadfastly stately, its streets are wide and tree-lined and its centre refreshingly free from hawkers and tricksters.

Vagator Beach: A clean, quiet beach with good value restaurants and close to a flea market selling local souvenirs.
Anjuna Beach: The Village of Anjuna, a five square mile area is nestled between the Arabian Sea and the Hill overlooking the beach. The beach is famous for its stunning natural beauty with swaying palms trees and soft powered white sands. The beach is marked by an unusual rocky formation overlying a cove of white sand and black rock that juts out into the Sea. This area was known as the Jewel of Anjuna and called “Ozran”.
Calangute Beach: Calangute is the beach to which everyone heads for the moment they land in Goa. So it is natural that it is overcrowded in both in peak and off seasons. This huge seven-kilometre sweep of sand located 15 kms from Panaji, is called the ‘Queen of Beaches’. All the travel agencies and tour operators have a base here from where bookings are done for most of all the other beaches.

Goa, the popular tourist destination of India is famous for its cruises. Goa cruises have their own charm and take you into the different world. The evening cruise in Goa is a one hour trip on the river that starts a little before the sunset and takes a round of the river. The water looks golden yellow in color as the color of the setting sun reflects in the river. The cruises are filled with fun activities like song, dance, and other entertainments like magic show, and juggling. (Extra Charges)
